Exciting NEW Features Available Now!

Friday, June 19th, 2009

This month we’ve started work on a new wave of features to our live blogging platform! Week-by-week you’ll see dozens of enhancements and new things appearing. It’s all part of our committment to be the premiere live publishing platform out there today.

Desktop Notifier

Now you can follow any of our live blogs on your desktop leaving you free to surf to other sites, answer emails, or pretend to work while ensuring you don’t miss a moment of the action.

With one click you can install and launch our notifier application and see updates popup instantly in the bottom right corner of your screen. Click on an update, and the full post or image opens in your browser.

Our Desktop Notifier is the newest way to keep up with your event. We built it on the Adobe AIR platform to ensure it’s compatible with Macs and PC’s.

On Deck Comments

Running a Q&A session where you want to pick the best of the comments coming into moderation, and post them later? Now you can click the icon in the “Comments in Moderation” box to reveal the On Deck area. All writers will have access to the area so you can work together, but the public won’t see posts until you’ve approved them into the liveblog stream.

Tips and Tricks for Posting

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Here is a list of Tips and Tricks to use in the ScribbleLive text entry box to add content to your live blog.

  1. You can choose JPEG, GIF or PNG images file types and they will automatically be scaled.
  2. If you need to spice up your text you can use <i></i>  for italics <b></b> for bold.
  3. Copy and paste a link or embed code from BrightcoveBreakRevver,YouTube or from your favorite video site.
  4. For links, you can just paste a link into the text box along with your text and we will take care of the rest or you can use <a href=”http://www.yourlinkhere.com>My Site</a> in the middle of your sentence.
  5. If you have a flash live video stream or poll? Paste the code into our event and it’ll appear as it would in the site it came from.
  6. You can edit your text post two ways. Press the edit button below each post and a field will appear with your text and HTML or you can simply click on text of your post and you can edit right in line. When you do you can use CTRL “L” to add a link as well. Save and your post updates immediately.

These are some great tips to improve your live event. When we created ScribbleLive we wanted to provide you with all the power you need to get content in quickly. That’s why it not necessary for us to have an administration screen because your editing tools are available right beside your content.

Happy Live Blogging.
